The Jibon Prerana Scheme 2025 is a financial assistance initiative launched by the Government of Assam to support unemployed graduates and research scholars. Announced in the Assam Budget 2025–26 by Finance Minister Ajanta Neog, the scheme aims to empower educated youth during their job search period.

✅ Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must:

Be permanent residents of Assam.
Have graduated in 2025 from a government university or college in Assam.
Be currently unemployed.
For research scholars: Be enrolled in state or central government universities

Financial Assistance

₹2,500 per month for up to one year for unemployed graduates.
₹25,000 one-time grant for research scholars.
₹50,000 one-time grant for differently-abled research scholars.

Application Process

Obtain Application Form: Available at local Block Development Offices (BDOs) and Gram Panchayats.
Fill and Submit: Complete the form and submit it along with required documents to the office from where it was obtained.
Verification: A committee comprising BDOs, Panchayat representatives, and bank officials will review applications.
Fund Disbursement: Approved candidates will receive financial assistance directly in their bank accounts.

Recent passport-sized photographs.
Educational qualification certificates.

Permanent Resident Certificate from Gaon Burha (for rural areas) or GMC Householding Certificate (for urban areas)
