The Common University Entrance Test [CUET (UG) – 2025] is an all-India test conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to various Undergraduate Programmes in Central Universities under Ministry of Education, and other participating Universities / Institutions / Organizations / Autonomous Colleges.

The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) will provide a common platform and equal opportunities to candidates across the country, especially those from rural and other remote areas and help establish better connect with the Universities. A single Examination will enable the Candidates to cover a wide outreach and be part of the admissions process to various Central Universities/ Participating Universities (State/Deemed/Private).
For the Academic Session 2025-2026, CUET (UG) – 2025 will be conducted from 08th May 2025 to 01st June 2025. This article helps all aspirants to know all details of CUET

Eligibility Criteria of CUET UG Exam

Age Limit: For appearing in the CUET (UG) – 2025, there is no age limit for the candidates.

Educational Qualification: The candidates who have passed the class 12 /equivalent examination or are appearing in 2025 can appear in the CUET (UG) – 2025 examination. However, the candidates will be required to fulfill the age criteria (if any) of the University / Institution / Organization in which they are desirous of taking admission.

Year of Appearance in Qualifying Examination: For the year of appearance in the Class 12 / equivalent examination, relevant conditions of Universities / Institutions (as applicable) will be applied. The candidate must ensure his eligibility from the website of respective Universities / Institutions.

Examination Fee of CUET

For CUET (UG) – 2025, fees will be charged based on the number of subjects chosen by the candidates. The following fee structure is applicable for CUET (UG) – 2025 :

How to Apply for CUET ?

Interested and eligible candidates may apply online for CUET Exam by visiting at official online portal of NTA CUET. They may follow below mentioned steps .

# Enter all your personal and educational details as required .

# Upload your passport sized photograph and signature and other required documents.

# Pay the application fee as per your category and at the end click on submit button .

# Don’t forget to take a print of submitted application form .

Scheme of CUET UG Examination

Name of exam: CUET (UG) – 2025

Total subjects: 37 (13 Indian languages + 23 domain-specific subjects + 01 General Aptitude Test)

Choice of Test Paper: Candidates may choose upto a maximum of five (05) subjects including languages and General Aptitude Test irrespective of the subjects opted in class XII.

Medium of the Test: 13 languages (Assamese, Bengali, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Punjabi, Odia, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu)

Total Questions: 50 questions for each test papers. All Question are compulsory.

Mode of exam: Computer-Based Test (CBT) Mode

Type of questions: Objective type with Multiple Choice Questions

Marking Scheme: Correct Answer: 05 marks (Five), There will be negative marking for each incorrect answer of 01 (one) mark.

Duration of Test: Duration for each test paper would be 60 minutes The examination will be conducted in multiple shifts depending on the number of candidates and their combinations. (Compensatory time for PwBD Candidates of 20 minutes for each hour).
