Vacancy Details
The recruitment covers three main categories of teaching positions:
PGT (Post Graduate Teacher) – For teaching higher secondary classes (Class XI & XII).
TGT (Trained Graduate Teacher) – For teaching secondary classes (Class VI to X).
PRT (Primary Teacher) – For teaching primary classes (Class I to V).

Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualifications:
PGT:
Post Graduation in the concerned subject with at least 50% marks.
B.Ed. degree with at least 50% marks.
TGT:
Graduation in the concerned subject with at least 50% marks.
B.Ed. degree with at least 50% marks.
PRT:
Graduation in any discipline with at least 50% marks.
B.Ed. or 2-year D.El.Ed. (Diploma in Elementary Education) with at least 50% marks.
CTET/TET Requirement:
For TGT and PRT posts, passing the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) or State Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) is mandatory.
Age Limit
Fresh Candidates: Below 40 years.
Experienced Candidates: Below 57 years (must have at least 5 years of teaching experience in the last 10 years).
Age relaxation will be as per AWES and Government of India norms.
Selection Process
The selection process for AWES Recruitment 2025 will consist of three stages:
Online Screening Test (OST):
Conducted by AWES.
Objective-type questions to assess teaching aptitude, subject knowledge, and general awareness.
Interview:
Shortlisted candidates from the OST will be called for a personal interview at designated Army Public Schools.
Evaluation of Teaching Skills & Computer Proficiency:
Candidates will be tested on their teaching methodology, lesson planning, and computer skills.
Salary Structure
The salary for selected candidates will be as per AWES and respective Army Public School rules, which generally follow the 7th Pay Commission. In addition to basic pay, teachers will receive allowances such as HRA, DA, and medical facilities.
