In a remarkable stride towards empowering the youth of Assam, Shri Lakshman Prasad Acharya, The Hon’ble Governor of Assam, has launched a ground-breaking financial assistance programme on 17th September, 2024, specifically designed for aspirants of the UPSC Civil Services Examination. This initiative aims to provide financial support and high-quality coaching to deserving candidates, enabling them to excel in their pursuit of becoming civil servants.

This program will provide support to 512 dedicated students (12 direct mode and 500 online), offering them necessary resources and mentorship to excel in both Prelims and Mains of the UPSC Civil Services Examination.

Partner agencies: ‘Paavan Chintan Dhara Ashram’ and ‘Arya Pratibha Vikas Sansthan’.

No of targeted beneficiary: 512 aspiring candidates (12 direct mode, 500 online)

Online Coaching: 500 aspirants (mentored by Paavan Chintan Dhara Ashram)

Direct Mode Coaching (Delhi NCR): 10 aspirants (mentored & sponsored by Paavan Chintan Dhara Ashram)

Direct Mode Coaching (Delhi NCR): 2 aspirants (mentored by Arya Pratibha Vikas Sansthan & sponsored by Raj Bhavan, Assam)

Type of scheme: Financial Assistance

Scholarship amount: 

The scholarship shall cover the cost of coaching fees, accommodation, and meals associated with the direct mode coaching program. Any additional costs, expenses, or personal requirements beyond those covered under the scholarship shall be the sole responsibility of the candidates.

Payments will be made directly to the coaching institutes; no direct disbursements will be made to candidates. The scholarship is non-transferable and cannot be deferred or converted into cash.
